« Bottles by the sea »
A project for an artistic and scientific underwater trail in Indonesia has been under preparation since last year.
The aim is to exhibit ceramic sculptures that will serve as a support for cutting coral and preserving underwater ecosystems.
A first prototype has already been installed.

It is a deer head, the corals form the antlers of a deer that evolve over time.
The stag was chosen because Marina ZINDY’s workshop is called L’Ecerfvelée.
Marina ZINDY is the author of this project.

The
scientific partners are the Department of Biology and Marine Research
of Lampung University, the CIKAL association and the Anemon diving
club.
The summer of 2020 will be a high point for the project’s
stakeholders!
Marina Zindy, artist and president of the association BIENVENUE DANS l’ATELIER will travel to Indonesia accompanied by members of the association BIENVENUE DANS l’ATELIER and the guest artist: Sophie Mosser

Together, this beautiful team will propose an event in Indonesia in the same spirit as the artistic trail conducted in June 2019:

Une Bouteille à la Mer
The clay is collected in the artist’s region.
Sculptures made with a local raw material will be exhibited on the other side of the world.
A bridge is being created between two spaces that are so different and so far apart.
The ceramics will be exposed under the ocean, but a few million years ago, the Alsatian plain was also under the ocean!
A beautiful story will unfold underwater, on land and in hearts, bringing people together through art and the environment.
To be able to carry out this project, the team will carry out many actions: shows, exhibitions, sales, crowfunding …
The ceramic sculptures entitled Une Bouteille à la mer, « Bottles by the sea » are messages of hope and peace.
They will be exhibited in France before being installed underwater in Indonesia.
Their sales will also help to finance the project.
